"Sri Lanka is still the best country to tour" -- Lonely Planet

Before the incident of the past Easter Sunday attack, the world renown magazine Lonely Planet had named Sri Lanka towards the end of 218 and 2019 as the best country to tour. They had listed Germany as the second, the third as Zimbabwe and the fourth as Panama. That indeed was a glorious opportunity for the tourist industry of Sri Lanka. Even great personalities who became prey to the Easter attack were heard of and it may be this propaganda that would have indirectly driven
them towards making a tour to Sri Lanka.

Lonely Planet on the other hand organise various programmes under their guidance for several firms linked to the tourist industry in the world and have even introduced new packages to see the scenic beauties of countries. However, unfortunately as various countries had alerted tours to Sri Lanka with the Easter attack incident, tour programmes as well as those who were to come to the island have moved a step back to make the intended tour, so to say.

This guidance is annually chosen and in the very instance Sri Lanka happened to be chosen at the apex in this context with being subjected to this mess up, tours to Sri Lanka were to some degree handicapped. But what was reported yesterday was that the magazine Lonely Planet has published a new article in this connection. According to the article written by Lonely Planet writer, Caterina Hrysomallis, Sri Lanka is still the best country to tour. "The country has been upset; but continues to be an incredible place to visit. It still tops our Best in Travel for 2019", she has indicated as a matter of advice. In that article, she has written that tourist activity in Sri Lanka has dropped by 186 per cent because of the Easter attack but that that situation would keep changing in times ahead.
