17 year old student who collapsed and died just the way elder brother died when training for the marathon
A student in the 12th year of Makola Sapugaskanda Maha Vidyalaya had last morning (30) been engaged in training activities for the marathon when he has fainted in the playground after which we was taken to Kiribathgoda Basic Hospital and he had passed away even before he was given medical treatment, Sapugaskanda police report.
It was 17 year old Aruna Dhananjaya Hettiarachchi, living in Sapugaskanda area who faced this
tragic ending to his life and he was an advanced level student at that time. It is reported from Kiribathgoda hospital that the elder brother of this student also had died while undergoing such training. By now, remains of the deceased student lies at Ragama hospital mortuary and after the postmortem this morning (31) the body is to be handed over to his kith and kin. Future investigations are to be conducted under supervision of officer in charge of Sapugaskanda police, Mr. Thusitha Jayakody.
