Lady supposed to be Bandula Goonawardena's lover ... replies

Because of some photos of former education minister, member of parliament, Mr. Bandula Goonawardena going shopping hand in hand with a lady in Thailand, an uproar has cropped up in facebook these days. Comments floated around that a former teacher and education minister who had married children is not fit for such a mode of behaviour. 

Swiss national Anna Barchetti Durish who appears in those photos has provided a reply across her
facebook account today (6). On that occasion she has given a special statement about this incident as follows:

"I am sorry about these photos being published with me and Dr. Bandula. He joined in a leadership development programme organised by me. In the same way he had discussions with me about language education. We know each other for about 10 years. In the same way we were together in various research programmes. Not only him, I know his wife and children including members of his family. They have even visited me in Switzerland.  Sri Lanka is close to me for a period of about 20 years. I am sorry about undue reactions which has resulted from these photos", she has informed.
