Peradeniya student who became a prey to Rathana Ella

An incident is reported of the tragic death of a Peradeniya University student who had gone to see Hasala Rathna waterfall when he had been carried away by a current. 

The deceased is Dighayu Bandara, a 25 year old student. He had been undergoing studies related to statistics for his degree in the third Year in campus and was a resident of Alawwa, Kurunegala. He
has in fact gone on a picnic with friends of his campus to see Rathna waterfall and after having falling, was taken away by the drift of water and thus disappeared. Later operations were launched and after the body was located day before yesterday evening, the dead body was directed to the judicial medical officer of Mahiyangana basic hospital. Dighayu who is who was living at Batahira Wennoruwa, Alawwa, Kurunegala is an Old Boy of Kurunegala Maliyadeva College.
