Inquiries about prison and police officers who kept a relationship with Madush
Police sources have reported that inquiries are underway about 13 police officers and 20 prison officers of various categories who have maintained various transactions with Makandure Madush, underworld gang leaders and members. Two police officers are connected to Madush's party. Several telephone dialogues too have been found.

As for the above reason it is reported that there are contradictions as well as genuine information which reports are on the increase. As a result information provided by those who appear on behalf of the accused has become a problematic situation and because of that, it is learned that disadvantageous information is not reported.
Official report about Madush and suspects
News circulate that an official report about 31 suspects inclusive of Samarasingha Aarachchige Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush has been sent to this country across international police. It was also reported that the Kingdom of Dubai has taken steps to send this official report on last 31st to the international police branch situated at Criminal Investigation Department.
A special investigation has commenced by now by Criminal Investigation Department in respect of the 31 individuals whose names appear in the list and a report by them is expected to be forwarded to the Kingdom of Dubai once more, it is reported.
Preparation to send official batch of police team to Dubai
Police Headquarters sources say that a preparation is underway to send a team of Sri Lanka Police team to that country to inquire about suspects inclusive of underground leader Makandure Madush. A high-ranker of police headquarters has informed that it should have been earlier that information about these suspects which was of vital significance to Sri Lanka Police should have been sent to Dubai for that purpose. Thus, it has become essential to send this team because extracting information about these offenders is oat an irregular level.
