House for film star Anusha Sonali ... from Sajith

A house is on the cards by minister of Housing Mr. Sajith Premadasa to be donated today to film star Mrs. Anushka Sonali who was a popular star on screen for sometime. She is presently suffering from weakness in muscle activity and is in an invalid state and she had pleaded across the media for help in this connection.

Anusha who participated in several popular films as a film star was taken into custody when she was in the company of her partner, the latter of whom was a drug addict. Ultimately she had to end up

behind bars for quite a long period. However after being released from prison she once again came forward for various activities of her performance. Later on she was fed up from all such activities and then chose to turn over a new leaf and thus entered into another marriage; this time with a planter. However that too went on the rocks.

Finally she had to spend her living in a rented house with her mother and son. She had told newspapers that she has inherited this disease from her mother. Her mother too is undergoing sufferance from this health condition as she does and most unfortunately both of them have had to spend much of their time in wheelchairs.

She had in fact told newspapers sometime back that she now has to live on meagre earnings of her son and that she needs support for her sustenance. Whatever it is, cinema arts societies in this country ... perhaps for various political reasons did not show any interest in this matter. In the end, minister Mr. Sajith Premadasa has decided to donate a house to the value of about Rs. 3 million in 'Sayurupura' Housing Complex, Angulana, Moratuwa and the donation is to be made this morning.
