Chandrika who came for Bandaranaike commemoration ... avoids Maithri!

A meeting was held between President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Cumaratunga today (8) and that was at the 120th birth anniversary of pioneer of Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Late Prime Minister S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike. 

This function was held in front of the statue of Mr. Bandaranaike erected at Galle Face Grounds in Colombo. President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena was present when floral tributes were offered to the
statue. He is the chairman of the present Sri Lanka Freedom Party. Former President Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike, a daughter of Mr. Bandaranaike was present with members of the family in this instance. 

Whatever it is, there was no exchange of ideas between former President Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Cumaratunga and President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena as such. After paying his floral tributes to the statue, the President has left the place. Anyhow, it was observed that a long dialogue has taken place between present general secretary of Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekera and Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike. Today marks the day of President Maithripala Sirisena's  fourth year in office.
