"Will delay my decision till I receive Mahinda's judgement" -- President

Most people were anxious to know the response of President after the judgement announced by Supreme Court about the gazette of dissolving parliament which is against the constitution. However, the President who received the judgement by bringing out all aspects of the crisis instead of becoming flexible on this occasion has expressed partial ideas, it is reported.

President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena has reiterated today (13) that though he accepts the judgement
given by court, he once again has said that he is not prepared to work in a government functioning in unison with Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha. A judgement was given in parliament by showing the 117 majority; however the President cared two pence for it. What he said at meeting of United National Freedom Alliance is that he will not go in for governance with Ranil and that he had decided to dissolve parliament in order to prevent the path of the UNP who was treading against the country and therefore he has no idea to change his stand on that matter.

He further said that he loves the country and that he is someone who thinks about the country and therefore will implement all measures to prevent the approaching disaster to the country and as such, he would not go back on the word that he has already given. Also that he would dedicate himself on behalf of the SLFP and the Alliance and if Prime Minister Mahinda and his group who have been suspended from functioning are brought into power once more, he is hoping to go on an onward journey with them.

Though the Supreme Court judgement about Mahinda's position is fixed for January 19, 2019 , the judgement of the appeal case whether the interim order will be suspended or not is to be announced tomorrow the 14th. After judgement of the appeal petition which is to be taken in for hearing tomorrow in Supreme Court, members of parliament of United National Freedom Alliance have decided to get together tomorrow (14) night and if Mahinda's position is recovered once more, the President has said that since he intends carrying on duties of the government. For that reason he says that he will extend his decision for one more day. Though Supreme Court has given an important decision about the present crisis, the President has so far not come forward to have any discussion with UNP or a representative of that party.
