State media to Mangala - Police to President - Duties of ministers ... released by gazette

Subjects and duties assigned to ministers were released by special gazette notification by President Maithripala Sirisena.Departments,corporations and statutory institutions coming under purview of ministers have been laid down by this gazette. 

As such, the Tri-forces, Police Department and Department of Government Press have been brought under the Ministry of Defence which presently is under the President. Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Independent Rupavahini, Rupavahini Corporation  and Lake House have been brought
under governance of Ministry of Finance and Mass Media while National Youth Services Council, Rehabilitation Commissioner General's office and Department of Census and Statistics have come under purview of Prime Minister Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha.
