Meals stopped at Temple Trees ... power cut and water-cut to be effected
UNP leader Ranil Wickremasingha together with his team are remaining at Colpetty Temple Trees where Mr. Ranil had used as the Prime Minister's office ... after the political struggle for power, until justice is meted out.Though official announcements were released by Wimal and MPs of United Alliance joined in by lawyer Dolawatta asking him to leave the place, what Mr. Ranil without leaving his office there says is to call the parliament and a Prime Minister be appointed in a justified manner.
In such a situation he says that his team would leave if Mahinda is appointed as the Prime Minister.
In the meantime, Inspector General of Police, Pujith Jayasundera has on instructions of the government has taken action to reduce the security given to Ranil and to use 10 police officers for his protection instead. Prime Minister's brother Shan Wickremasingha has broadcast today, 29th over his radio channel that already an unseen hand is in operation to eliminate the UNP crowd who are staying there. As such, the catering service operating at Temple Trees has been instructed to move away from there yesterday and as a result issuing of meals to those remaining there has automatically stopped. According to internal sources, arrangements are being made to disconnect electricity and water in Temple Trees today, Shan Wickremasingha revealed.
