Within a few hours after the no-confidence motion against Premier Ranil Wickremasingha took place yesterday, a mob who assembled near Sirasa Channel in Colombo close to Maharaja Building had behaved in a riotous manner creating damage to property. As a
consequence, the News First staff had been cordoned for over an hour as informed by them and it was also reported that the said group of people had come with green -coloured flags in their hand; further that the United National Party Colombo municipal member Kithsiri Rajapaksha was at the forefront on that occasion, it has been reported.

This group had assembled near Sri Lanka Cricket Board and had come organised and finally engaging in this activity, they say. News First who publishes a description about this, poses this question: "It was the United Opposition who brought the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha. Therefore, what we wish to remind Mr. Kithsiri Rajapaksha is that 'you should have gone in front of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa's house". The said report, from below
