The first 3 dimensional animation film in Sri Lanka with the use of motion capture technique created in great cinematic productions such as world famous Awaiter and Tin Tin is to be screened shortly by the title 'Gajaman'. This film has been in creation during a period of 7 long
years since 2010 with a cost of about Rs. 7 million by Chanaka Perera who was involved in creations of commercial advertisements and Studio 101 group. After true actors and actresses engage in the necessary motions as in motion capture technology, motions of characters captured 'live' with the aid of software are depicted as they should be. Dasun Pathrana, Chamara Priyadarshana, Kasuni, Pradeep and Tirak Sharada had joined in this performance while Gaminda Priyaviraj, Suneth Chitrananda, Yureshini Noshika, Rasipabodha, Sunil Perera and the group have been used for dubbing purposes for the characters.

Chanaka Perera who introduces something like this to Sri Lanka explains how he came upon this idea, in this way: "I got an idea about something like this at the time I was about 15 years of age. I received my education at St. Peter's College and then left for further education to a university in Australia to do studies in multi-media. There I studied 3 Dimensional Animation technology. My best friend Irshad Nadin too was someone who liked these things. He's the one who suggested including the Gajaman story for this.

After returning to Sri Lanka from Australia in 2010, I went and met Father Ernest Poruthota. On his instructions I went and got permission from Mr. Camillus Perera. 6 persons had asked permission from him previously to do this same work. Since their knowledge was not sufficient, I was told that they didn't get involved in this activity. Taken up by my creations, Mr. Camillus got involved in this activity as a co-producer. The script was written by Suneth Gaminda (Podi malli and Chooty malli). Lakmal Kannangara provided support in the technical aspect. Gajaman, Dekkoth Padmawathi, Magodisthuma, Sweety, Lapaya, Tikka, Chooty, Peto, Dunsethan, Siribiris and such characters were included in this. This film cannot be screened in all the halls in Sri Lanka with the same quality. As such, it was produced with facilities to see it in a two dimensional and three-dimensional manner".

Still a trailer of this film has not been publicised. Seen from the video below are parts of the video exhibited at the media discussion of the launching of the film.
