Hoax news that earth would be in darkness for 15 days

A certain hoax is going round the social media these days to the effect that from 15 November till the 29th the earth would be in darkness for a period of 14 days. The said false piece of news says that it is the result of a scientific phenomenon occuring between Jupiter and Venus and that it has been confirmed by NASA. It has further mentioned that the said phenomenon would begin at 3 in the

morning on November 15th and continue until 4.45 in the evening of November 30th and would affect the whole world.

Reports are published by now that this incident is a total hoax. Astronomer specialist Professor Chandana Jayaratna has released an announcement to the media in this respect saying that no such phenomenon would be occuring and that it is solely a matter of fiction.

This incident has even been stated by 'SNOPS', an institute continuously on the alert about false news in the internet as a hoax and this hoax which went to the extent of unsettling minds of people in foreign countries was initially published over Newswatch33 website in the year 2015 was identified that as this very same false news item being repeatedly circulated in the years 2016 as well as 2017 too. This particular website by now has disappeared from the internet; but as a result of comments extracted based on NASA and because it is a turbulent piece of information, it has been found that it has rapidly spread around everywhere.
