Wijedasa supposed to have gone to meet Anuradhapura "Meniyo" -- Kabir requests in writing ... to expel Wijedasa -- Justice Minister portfolio to Thalatha?

Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa was requested honouably by the UNP group getting together to relinquish his duties as Minister of Justice yesterday (21) and time given was till 6 in the evening. However he continuously turned a deaf ear on the appeal.

Because of a prediction made by "Meniyo" who has won a name in Anuradhapura area for her

charming had told that the Minister would be a powerful character in the next few days in a political way and these days he is supposed to have wandered about in Anuradhapura region, reports were published. What had been mentioned from that prediction was that an Opposition Government would dawn by December next and that Minister Wijedasa who would be moving to the Opposition with group from the UNP would be appointed the Prime Minister.

Since no response was forthcoming during the allotted period given by the party, as such, a strong decision had to be taken regarding Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa when the United National Party met together last evening. Accordingly, Mr. Kabir Hasheem, General Secretary of the United National Party is supposed to have forwarded a letter to President Maithripala Sirisena to expel Minister Wijedasa from all Ministerial positions, political sources reveal.

While Minister Rajitha has informed the President to let anybody who wants to go ... to go; if some other member of the UNP is to be nominated, the President has no problem in granting his consent in that case, it was reported. As such, the Justice portfolio of Mr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa is decided to be given to Mrs. Thalatha Athukorala, Minister of Foreign Employment, the government inside sources report. Prior to this, the name of Attorney-at-Law Mr. Jayampathy Wickremaratna was nominated for this position. Whatever it is, it is not clear whether the subject of Buddha Sasana would be removed from Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa and it was reported that there is a possibility that it would not be so done.
