Sri Lankan passenger who created bomb-scare in plane coming to Malaysia from Australia ... in custody
A Sri Lankan who created a bomb-scare in flight MH 128 heading to Malaysia from Melbourne last night 11.11 Australian time was taken into custody.
The said Sri Lankan passenger had tried to make his way into the cockpit by force, scaring the staff on board that he was in possession of a bomb, it was reported. Whatever it is, members
of the staff had brought him under control preventing him from entering the cockpit and finally the flight had been diverted and made to land at Melbourne Airport after a delay of half-an-hour. There had been approximately 300 passengers on board when this commotion took place. Subsequently the security force had arrived on the scene and taken the Sri Lankan passenger into custody.
The passenger concerned has had no explosives in his possession but only a battery, it was revealed. What Abdul Ais Bin Kapravi, Deputy Transport Minister said was that this passenger was apparently under drunken stupour and was of a psychotic nature. After the incident the Sri Lankan passenger was taken into custody by Victoria Police.
