Though Ravi was given Foreign Affairs portfolio ... several institutions like Sri Lankan, Mahapola, Lotteries Board on his shoulders

Though former Finance Minister is now known as Minister of Foreign Affairs according to the Cabinet reshuffle yesterday, some institutions not allocated within the scope of a Foreign Minister is to further remain under him, the government has decided. As such, Development Lotteries Board coming under Finance Ministry, Mahapola Scholarship Fund belonging to the Lotteries Board and Ministry of International Trade with all

institutions covering the field of the plantation sector belonging to the Ministry of State Entrepreneurs and Sri Lankan Airways and Bonds and Exchange Commission are supposed to come under the jurisdiction of the new Foreign Minister Ravi.

It is also reported that the new Foreign Minister is expected to carry forward Sri Lanka's Foreign Policy with an economic vision and for that purpose a National Secretariat and Fund would be instituted for that purpose. The gazette containing the new scope of activities is expected to be announced within 5 days.
