Person who disguises himself and comes to Wesak Assembly ... arrested
A suspicious person dressed as a Catholic priest who came to Bandaranaika Memorial International Hall on Wesak Day to attend the International Assembly which was held recently under the auspices of the Indian Premier was taken into police custody. He had tried to get inside in the company of other members of the clergy when visitors were being ushered in; but has been unable to produce the invitation card usually issued
by the organisers.
Whatever it is, he had said that he forgot to bring it with him and had tried to make his way through. However the security unit who developed a suspicion about his appearance had taken him away for questioning in that instance. He was not able to furnish the name of some other priest either and in that instance and later had admitted that he was not a priest.
Suspicions whether this person has come with the motive of sabotage in mind to this premises where tight security has been enforced had caught the attention of the police and therefore he was taken into custody that day. This person who was under custody of the police was produced before courts yesterday and was instructed to be remanded until 19th of this month. It has still not been found as for what reason he has come disguised in this manner.
