Prime Minister Ranil who is presently engaged on an official tour of Australia has been awarded an honorary Phd by the Deakin University. The Prime Minister was bestowed the Phd. this afternoon (14). A large number of Vice Chancellors, Deacons and graduates had attended the occasion. This doctorate was awarded for the
activities of restoration towards steps taken to develop the economy of Sri Lanka, to develop the education and for protecting Human Rights, it is reported.
