Corporal who was hit by a stone travelling in a CTB bus on strike day in ICU

On the 2nd instant on the day of the private bus strike an army corporal who was travelling in a SLTB bus in the  Anuradhapura area had been injured  seriously when the glass shutters of the bus was slashed by stones hurled by private bus protesters.It is reported.

The army corporal had been on leave and proceeding to his home when he had sustained this injury

to his head.The Chairman of the SLTB, Ramal Siriwardena had visited the hospital to see him.He had said tgat hiscondition is rather serious.

After he was admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital an operation had been performed and then kept him in the intensive care unit.

The Chairman had stated that  out of th the large fleet of buses deployed during the private bus strike 128 buses had been attacked and damaged.
