"Rona"  who killed Kurunegala SI had stayed in the hotel until he received a call from his wife

On the 16th instant the day before yesterday night a Sub Inspector was killed and two others were injured by the shooting of gangster Moratuwa "Rona"it is learnt that he had stayed in the hotel until he received a call from his wife from Knady. This had been revealed via police investigations.

The underworld gangster had rented out a house in Kandy to live with his wife.T house. 'Rona' had got a clue that the house was not a safe place to live and hence his wife had been entrusted with removing their goods from that house and had been sent to Kandy for that purpose.,

After his wife was sent bu bus the underworld gangster had

remained in the hotel until he received a call from her.He had wanted to take a lorry from Kurunegala and go to Kandy .This also had revealed during police investigations

It is said that this underworld gang leader  had been involved in crimes since year 2002.The police had revealed about all his crimes/The day of the incident his colleague who fled away is supposed to be an associate and pupil (golaya)who had returned after serving a sentence.

 The previous owner of this hybrid motor vehicle that had been used for the shooting had been a Buddhist monk which had been given on rent.AS to how this motor vehicle came into the hands of the suspect is investigated.The owners of the rent a car also have been summoned to Colombo to record statements.

In the year 2012 the suspect had fled the country and how he continued the drug business is also been investigated by the police.

On the 31st December 2012 for a murder that took place in Dehiwala this person had been arrested without finding the real suspect.Also the police is investigationg how this person became an underworld criminal.In this regard 'Rona' has given a long account of it to the police.The police in on the look out for him and the other two who fled to which special police units have been deployed.
