Name of Samurdhi will not be changed-SB

During the Budget proposals 2017 presented to parliament as Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake the name of Samurdhi would not be changed as "Janaisura'.

This had been said explaining that the change would not take place was added by Minister of welfare and welfare empowerment SB Dissanayake

today.

SB Dissanayake had however said that for the programme in 2017 for poverty alleviation under the divinguma would be named as 'Janaisura'.
