All commemorative functions on Most Venerable Sobitha thera  to take place despite restraining orders

All commemorative functions that were planned on the first death anniversary of the most venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha would take place as arranged despite the restraining orders was added by Venerable Wathuruwila  Siri Sujatha thera. The thera had added that these restraining orders had been subjected to amendments.

The statue of Most Venerable Sobitha thera which was to be erected in the premises of the Sri Naga

Viharaya Kottee on the 23rd of this month.Against the erection of this statue the Nugegoda district Judge Sahana Mapa Bandara has issued a restraining order.This restraining order had been requested by Venarable Kelaniya Soratha thera.

The thera had requested this as without his knowledge commemorative functions should not be held as there are disputes between the Dayakas of the temple in this regard.Hence the thera via his attorneys had informed courts.But for the purpose of erecting the statue of the most venerable Sobitha thera this restraining order had been relaxed by the district judge Nugegoda.

The statue of the most venerable thera Maduluwawe Sobitha would be erected in the Sri Naga Viharaya premises under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena on the 14th instant the poya day.On this day the statue would be declared open, a name would  for a road and a launch of new stamp and other activities are to take place. .
