A person duping women as Engineer, Doctor and Pilot apprehended

A craft person impersonated as a Engineer, doctor and pilot having duped a lot of women after publishing marriage proposals in the newspapers and obtaining money has been ultimately nabbed by the Badulla police in the Hali Ela Kandegedera area on the 09th instant on suspicion..

This person who is 36 year old bachelor is had been doing odd jobs for a living is a resident who lives

in the Kandegedera area in Hali Ela according to police findings.

This person via the newapapers had come to know a 38 year old educated spinster working in Colombo.He had told this lady that his sister is ill and he needs to pay the finance for the bus and taken a sum of Rs 98,000/ from her.

It is also reported that he had duped a number of other women in Ambalangoda,Aluthgama,Gampahaand other areas in various ways and robbed money.

The officers of the Badulla police are conducting further investigations.
