The boy friend of a girl who had shown decent had been arrested by the criminal investigating unit of the Mihintale police for forcibly taking  her while in her night dress. in the night showing a Kris knife to her parents.This person had taken his girl friend to a jungle in the Mihintale  Diviyabendawa area and hidden her.Both these
lovers have been arrested by the Mihintale police on the  afternoon of the 10th instant.

A complaint had been lodged in the Kalachchiya police post and the police Mihintale by the  36 year old wife of a army soldier attached to Jaffna army camp living in Mihintale Ginikatuwewa Rambewa.It is reported that on the wee hours of the 10th instant four youngsters had come and after threatening her with a knife had kidnapped the daughter. The suspect was to be produced before the magistrate courts.
