Kohli surpasses Sanga's 25 ,ODI hundreds in a FEWER innings
Virat Kohli the super Indian batsmen by virtue of his match winning 26th ODI century (154*) in the 3rd ODI for India against the touring New Zealand in Mohali on the 23rd instant eclipsed Sangakkara's 25 ODI centuries to be among the first four batsmen who had scored the highest
number of ODI centuries in the history of the game.
The most number of ODI centuries has come from the bat of legendary Sachin Tendulkar who had scored 49 centuries.The former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is second in this list having scored 30 centuries. Our own Sanath Jayasuriya is third with 28 centuries.
Kumar Sangakkara was fourth in this list with 25 centuries which Virat Kohli surpassed on Sunday at Mohali scoring his 26th ODI century.However Kohli's feat was achieved in a much FEWER number of ODI innings than Sangakkara.It has to be mentioned that Kohli is still very young and has many more ODI innings ahead of him.
