I'm going to get a baby girl by end of November ... no Politics again! -- Upeksha Swarnamali

Upeksha Swarnamali who became an actress as well as a political character is spending her time these days at home anticipating her baby towards the end of next month. She had revealed to a recent weekend newspaper that she is to be bestowed with a baby girl and that she would be bidding goodbye to Politics totally in future.

Following is what she told the newspaper: "These days not like at other times ... I spend my time in a different way. I am someone who
was was continuously engaged. To earn money I did various things from my schooldays itself. But because I am supposed to deliver my baby towards the end of next month (November), I have been compelled to stay back at home. So very lonely ... and feeling lazy. Since the experience that a tiny visitor is expected at our home, I am dreaming and keeping my fingers crossed about it. From the scanning that we did, I am supposed to be getting a baby girl. So I got dresses made in pink. Got lots of gifts from kith and kin. I browsed the internet to see I should prepare myself for the delivery. These days when we do these things ... there is of course all kinds of vivid things no.

My husband was overjoyed when he came to know that I was to get a baby girl. My mother of course preferred to have a baby boy. But whatever child I get, he or she should be a healthy and righteous child. The child should some day have a good future. Performing artistes in Sri Lanka have only a poor welcome ... therefore I'd like if the child doesn't be one of them. Whatever it is, after my baby is born, I'd be back to the field of acting. Like Denawaka Hamine ... I'll be in acting till I die. But I may not go for everything. I'll be in selected ones only. I won't be in Politics anymore. I didn't feel much even when I lost seat as organiser. In future I'll be giving pride of place only to my child and family".
