Those officials who participated in RIO Olympics in hot water

The Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has called for explanation from the related authorities of the sports ministry how as many as 46 officials had accompanied just 09  participants at the RIO Olympic games concluded in Brazil.The Prime Minister has called explanation from the officials in

this regard.

Ranil Wickreamasinghe has also called for a report on the activities of the Olympic committee.He had also requested to furnish a report on those who participated in Olympic events.

During the recent past the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe had received a number allegations in regard to the participants and officials who accompanied them.It had been requested to submit a report on the activities of the  Sri Lanka Olympic committee that had occurred during the past five years.

The Leader of the House minister Lakshman Kiriella had accused of irregularities  and frauds in the  areas of  many sports  fields.In order to bring about new legislation to prevent such activities i these information are collected.
