The vacancy created by the resignation of the Member of Parliament Dallus Alahapperuma as  chief organizer of the SLFP for Matara district has been filled by the State Minister of Finance Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena.

The post of chief organizer for Homagama made vacant with the resignation of the Member of Parliament Bandula Gunawardena has been filled with the appointment of Western Provincial minister Gamini Thilakasiri.

These letters of appointments had been handed over to them by the President Maithripala Sirisena.
