An incident is reported of a young woman been robbed of a sum of Rupees eighteen lakhs eight thousand withdrawn from a state bank in Ambalangoda in the form of large notes and was on her way to a private bank to deposit the money had been stopped by a person showing a

Kris knife in a public place in Ambalangoda town.

This theft made in broad daylight had been masterminded by two who had come on a motor bike .One had shown her a sharp Kris knife and frightened her and grabbed the cash, the police has reported.

To arrest the culprits who had disappeared with the money the Police have commenced investigations.
