The police traffic division has disclosed that owing to reckless and dangerous driving on the yellow lines or the pedestrian crossing there had been 120 deaths reported from all over the island from last year to date. The records have indicated
that there had been 78 deaths during the year 2015 and to date 42 deaths
This is despite the warning signals that have been placed before 75 yards from the pedestrian crossing a spokesman for the police traffic division had added. In addition in a zigzag manner the warning signs have been drawn on the middle of the roads. These warnings signs have been clearly drawn to be seen by all motorists.
The officials of the police traffic division have revealed that it may be that the zigzag sings drawn on the roads before the pedestrian crossings may not be been visible to the motorists which may have attributed to these deaths.
