Namal celebrates bail release on high note
Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa who was remanded at the Welikada prison as ordered by courts for the alleged misappropriation of a sum of rupees seven million from an India company Krrish during a land deal .After been at Welikada prison for about a week was
released on bail yesterday.
Under the penal code 386 and 400 and sub section 3 for money laundering the courts had granted his bail application within the powers vested on them.He had been allowed bail after furnishing rupees fifty thousand ( Rs 50,000/-) cash and three body sureties amounting to rupees five lakhs (Rs 5 lakhs) each.
In addition the suspect has been barred from travelling abroad. The case is scheduled to be heard on the 08th of August.
After he was released from custody the supporters had shown a terrific appreciation by cheering and Namal Rajapaksa had travelled in an open vehicle .
