Finally Dilshan chooses to retire

Word has spread round that former Captain and super batsman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team T.M. Dilshan has decided to bid adios to cricket totally. It has been reported that he had arrived at this decision without notice and he had even decided to draw away from the forthcoming England - Sri Lanka One Day Match Tournament.

Dilshan who has retired from Tests already had played only in One Day and Twenty Twenty matches. During the past New Zealand tour at the end of the defeat faced in the tournament a certain Sri Lankan member from the spectators made a comment to Dilshan requesting him to retire from the game which really put Dilshan into some embarrassment on that occasion.

Dilshan who is married to tele-actress Manjula Kumari happens to be the owner of a number of houses in the country and has been residing in those houses in turn. Whatever it is, according to information received he has abandoned all this and is making preparations to go to Australia with his family for permanent residence there. He is expected to announce this in an official manner in the near future.
