Talks about some State ministers to resign

The political sources have disclosed that owing to the reason that the duties and responsibilities of State Ministers have not been clearly defined a group has decided to quit from their State Minister portfolios.

It is reported that as a result of not having
responsibilities the State Ministers are getting bored within their ministry offices. It is also reported that these State Ministers are not even invited to ceremonies which they should participate in their own ministries.

It is learned that in the last six cabinet meetings presided by the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe it have been specifically instructed all cabinet Ministers to allocate part of their work to the related State Ministers. However even these instructions have not been adhered to. Hence a cluster of the State Ministers has decided to take this drastic decision.
Hence these State Ministers intend to meet the President and the Prime Minister at the next parliamentary sessions to be held on the 07th of June and are hoping to bring their grievance to the notice of them. In the event so solution is given to their pleas the group of State Ministers would not hesitate to take the decision of resigning.
