State Minister Hisbulla tenders his resignation
It is reported that the State Minister for rehabilitation and re settlement ALM Hisbulla has tendered his resignation from his portfolio as State Minister to President Maithripala Sirisena and left the country.
It was published last week in the media that a group of State Ministers of this government had decided to resign from their posts of State Ministers as they had not been delegated any powers to discharge and hence they feel very bored
when they go to their ministries.
In this context in the last six cabinet meeting presided by the President and the Prime Minister this matter had been raised to which solutions had not been given.
As a solution it had been suggested that all cabinet ministers should delegate a part of their activities to the state ministers to perform. But they had not adhered to these requests .This had made them to threaten to resign from their positions as the state ministers.
