Clay-more bombs found from Kilinochchi Yesterday

From Raththinapuram area in Kilinochchi the army personnel had discovered 10 clay-more bombs and other war related weapons and equipment. After the clay-more bombs were detected the army bomb disposal unit had been summoned and had diffused all the clay-more bombs.

The 57 regiment of the Army had received a tip off and on searching a house along 3rd lane
Raththtinapuram in Kilinochchi these clay-more bombs and war related weapons and equipment had been found inside a well of a house.

One of the claymore type bombs had weighed 12 Kilos, while three had weighed 07 kilos while the balance six had weighed 02 kilos each. In addition the army had discovered 65 hand bombs made of the LTTE type in the related weapons mentioned above and  42 fuses of mortar bullets.

It is presumed  by the security  personnel that after the civil was lost the LTTE cadres may have dumped these into this well and fled.
