Basil's wife and daughter fails to appear before FCID for second time

The officials of the Frauds Corruption Investigation unit had summoned the  Pushpa Rajapaksa and Thejani Rajapaksa wife and daughter of the former minister of economic development Basil Rajapaksa for questioning.For the second time the two had failed to appear before the FCID on the 4th and 5th instant.They have informed that they are unable to come as they are in the United States.

In the meantime Yoshitha Rajapaksa had been questioned for a number of hours in connection with the financial irregularities revealed at the Carton sports network television channel last Wednesday..
