Warrants issued on Samanalee and Indrachapa again.

The Kurunegala Chief Magistrate Ms Geethani Wijesinghe had on the 1st instant had ordered warrants to be issued to actress Samanalee Fonseka and singer Indrachapa Liyanage

to arrest and be produced before her.

This is because the duo had failed to appear before the Kurunegala Magistrates courts on the 31st instant when the case they had filed was called for hearing .The case is against the provincial council member Kamal Indika and his gang who have alleged to have attacked a group of artistes in the Kubukketiya town area before the run up to the presidential election when their group had visited for a drama.

The attorney at law Gihan Kularatne appearing for the duo Samanalee Fonseka and Indarachapa Liyanage, had informed the Magistrate that while they were traveling from Colombo to Kurunegala for the case the car in which they traveled had broken down .Hence they had not been able to attend courts on that day on time.However on all previous occasions the du had appeared for the hearings in this case filed by them.
