Mahinda and Ranil in secret talks after security change
The officials of the security division of the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa have informed that the army security given to the former president is to withdrawn in two phases from the 10th
instant and police security would be provided to him.
However it is reported that on the 08th instant 50 army commandos are to be withdrawn and 40 other commandos are to be withdrawn in the next two days.
When this change was announced the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had paid a visit to meet the prime minister Ranil Wickremasinghe on the 6th instant at the office of the prime minister housed on the second floor of the parliamentary complex.
The talks between the former president and the prime minister had lasted for 20 minutes just a few hours the prime minister was to leave to China on an official visit.
It is reported that the members of the joint opposition too had accompanied the former president to the prime ministers office.But had remained in the lobby until their leader returned.
It has been reported that the former president in addition to the security change had also discussed about the stand of his family members who have constantly questioned by the FCID which had been a concern to him.
