Deputy Minister Palitha Thevarapperuma commences a 'satyagraha' inside his cab vehicle

Member of Parliament UNP for Kalutara district Palitha Thevarapperuma was sworn as a deputy minister last week.

It is reported that the new Deputy Minister has started a 'satyagraha' along the Pasyala-Giriulla in front of the Kandalama Kandangamuwa Vidyalaya while inside his own cab vehicle.The reason has

been owing to two  unprotected telecommunication posts that have not been removed.

The Deputy Minister has been returning from Kurunegala where he has attended to a ceremony pertaining to the bringing in of a Buddhist statue.

The Deputy Minister of Internal affairs had added that he has no powers within his deputy ministerial portfolio to order these posts to be removed.Hence he had commenced a 'satyagraha' from staying within his cab vehicle urging the related government authorities to remove the two telephone posts, that are dangerous to the public.
