Salaries of government servants and festival advances on 08th April

The authorities of the ministry of public administration have announced that the salaries of all government employees would be paid on the 08th April prior to the Sinhala and Tamil new year.The festival advance of Rs 10,000/-- too is to be paid on this day.It is also reported that the pension

payments for all government servants would also be paid on the 08th April.

Usually the monthly salaries of government servants are paid between the 20th to the 25th of every month.However the salaries in the month of April have been paid before the Sinhala and Tamil new year for a long time.
