Minister Champika's dead father had been a farmer

Father of Minister of Megapolis and development of western province Patali Champika's father R Somapala Ranawaka expired at

the age of 89 years the other day.

Somapala Ranawaka had been a traditional farmer over a long length of time.For a short period of time he had served as a clerk in a loans redress department.Although his son Patali Champika Ranawaka had entered politics and is a Minister in this government and earlier government he had never spoken on politics.

His remains now lie at his residence at Bulathsinhala, Bothalegama, Pallekumbura for those who wish to pay respects.Cremation is to take place today the 9th instant  at 5 pm at the Bulathsinhala Dehigahawela cemetery.
