Chandrika issues a special statement on Vimukthi

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga  and the adviser to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party had added that her son Vimukthi Kumaratunga will never enter politics in this country.

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga had  added this about her son

Vimukthi Kumaratunga speaking on the world's women's day celebration held at the headquarters of  Sri Lanka Women's Front under the theme resourceful country,and sustainable tomorrow.

While speaking former President Chandrika Kumaratunga had said this:

"I will never request for positions. My son Vimukthi will not come to Sri Lanka to enter politics.I do not say that we should have a family link in politics.But he will come to Sri Lanka to serve the country.But would not enter politics. She cannot see the country getting destroyed in this manner.That is the very reason I came forward to help in the last presidential election.Ultimately it was I who  had to carry all the weight and burden."
