Police set to remove sand from ASP's swimming pool
At a media briefing which was organised by the owner of ASP group ASP Liyanage at his residence at the Peacock mansion in Rajagiriya he had revealed
that there had been no gold and jewellery belonging to former president Mahinda Rajapaksa buried under the sand when the swimming pool was filled with sand. In this regard ASP Liyanage was summoned to the commission of bribery and corruption to record a statement.
At the media briefing organised at his peacock mansion he had revealed to the media personnel that this matter is concerning him and that he has sleepless nights as he is worried over the allegations made in this regard.
The sand that was uses to fill the swimming pool is to be removed by the officers of the criminal investigation unit by deploying some workers today the 29th instant. It is reported that a Assistant Superintendent of Police had visited this site yesterday the site with all needed equipment to undertake this exercise today.
