Police media spokesman withdraws from Embilipitiya investigations

In regard to the investigations in to the controversial manner a youngster in Embilipitiya was killed the police media spokesman, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekera who acted as the attorney at law for the Police has withdrawn from the ongoing investigations.

The Police media spokesman had decided to withdraw from the ongoing investigations as the attorney at law appearing for the affected party Vijitha G Punchihewa had expressed his displeasure for the participation of the Police media spokesman. On the first day the Police media spokesman had participated in the investigations but subsequently had withdrawn.

After the withdrawal of Ruwan Gunasekera the Police department has nominated another lawyer for the investigations.
