After Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, leader of the Democratic Party conducted a news briefing yesterday and proclaimed photographs publicly saying that it was because that Minister
Wijayadasa Rajapaksa was partial in the issue regarding Avant Garde that he maintained a close relationship with its chief, Nissanka Senadhipathi Minister of Justice Wijayadasa Rajapaksa has come forward to make such a statement in that respect.

What he says is that those photos are genuine. When those photos were taken during the period of 2006, the Minister admitted that he did maintain a close relationship with Mr. Nissanka Senadhipathi. He had said that he does not understand how that could be found fault with and that according to his opinion it is not unjustified. As his response, Wijayadasa had also stated that what Mr. Fonseka wanted was to create a pressure by paving the way to have Gotabhaya Rajapaksa taken into custody and his motive behind this is to secure the sum of Rs. 888 lakhs which Mr. Fonseka has secured as illicit commission by expressing opinions such as this.
