Twenty students have acquired Aids - all students entering campus to undergo blood tests

The Minister of health Rajitha Senaratne had said in Parliament that twenty school going children

have been detected to have acquired the Aids virus.

He had suggested to have the 'health' subject to be thought in all schools up to the GCE Ordinary Level classes as  there is a possibility that the Aids virus would spread among the school children.

The Minister in this context would bring in the rule for all students to pass in the 'health' subject before they sit for the Advanced Level examination. The Minister also is having doubts whether the Advanced Level students and  University students have acquired the Aids virus and has suggested for them to be tested.
