The person caught at customs with gold biscuits hidden in the anus area is not the coordinating secretary of Minister Haleem

It had been reported in certain media yesterday that a person coming to Colombo from Singapore

had produced a visiting card to customs that he is the coordinating secretary of the Minister of Muslim religious affairs Abdul Haleem who was alleged to  have carried 04 gold biscuits.

This person has had 05 passports in his possession. It is learnt that he had been travelling to and from Singapore very often and each time the custom officers had not given him favours. On the 22nd instant the custom officers had been waiting to search him upon his arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport.

This person had been subjected to a body search through X-rays  which had revealed that he has had 04 gold biscuits hidden in his anus area.The media spokesman for the customs Leslie Gamini had revealed that this person had carries 04 gold biscuits weighing 400 grams and the value had been rupees twenty lakhs.

The Minister of Muslim religious affairs Abdul Haleem had said there is no one in his ministry staff who rob. No staff member in his ministry had travelled abroad .All of them are living in Sri Lanka.But certain media had reported that his coordinating secretary had been arrested. This information is completely fake.
