Sri Lanka too joins in culture of flinging brassiers to pop stars ...

and kissing   

Two incidents that happened during the music concert held at the Colombo CR & FC last 20th when Latin American pop star Enrique Iglesias
was on stage created a big sensation over the internet.

One of those was where a female fan had stepped on to the stage and had embraced Enrique and later run about here and there with Enrique and a short while later he had given her a kiss in public. Though it was not an unexpected incident, where Sri Lankan culture is concerned, it was somewhat of an alien phenomenon.

The second incident seen here was that something that went beyond bounds, to some extent which in fact came under criticism of some people. The incident in this case was that at a moment when Enrique came towards the brink of the stage and was holding and touching the hands of members of the fans and excited them, a certain Sri Lankan young woman had all of a sudden happened to remove her brassier and fling it at him. He in any case accepted that brassier with a surprise and then went to the centre of the stage and had begun to wave it around.

What was displayed by this action was the sexual tendency that the female showed towards Enrique. This type of scenes could be observed all over the world when European singers come on stage at concerts and such acts bring about some stimulation and also add colour to the occasion.

Iglesias was brought down to the island by Live Events Society established with the intervention of super cricketing stars Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara, while the concert was named as Sex and Love. Tickets for this concert was sold at the price of between Rs. 5000 and 35000, it was understood.
