Popular singer Rupa Indumathie hospitalised for a critical illness 

The popular singer who is famous for singing light songs at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting corporation has been warded at the  Sri

Jayewardenapura  hospital .

She had  come to fame by singing "dimuthu mathumal", "giri Kandulu bubulu light songs for the SLBC programmes and had shot up to fame in the 60's when she sung a duet with Jayatissa Hettiarachchi the song "Ruwan amara".

Rupa Indumathie had got married to singer Lakshman Rodrigo in the year 1967 and hence sung the popular duets and solo songs like  "suwadata malamen", "piya himiyani",wasantha duthaya",:viduli dumriya" etc which are still popular.
