The final funeral rites of the most Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha thera  has been arranged at he Parliamentary grounds in Sri Jayewardenapura Kotte. For those who attend the ceremony a 'wade' dansela has been installed in the vicinity of the spot. The significant feature is that this facility has been arranged by a group of Muslim people.
